Life on Earth. Een natuurdocumentaire door David Attenborough. Het betreft een televisie natuurdocumentaire serie, vervaardigd door de BBC in samenwerking met Warner Bros en Reiner Moritz Productions. De serie werd in het Verenigd Koninkrijk uitgezonden vanaf 16 januari 1979. In de loop van de serie reist presentator David Attenborough, de hele wereld rond om het verhaal van de evolutie van het leven op de planeet bloot te leggen. Net als de vorige serie, bestaat deze serie uit 13 afleveringen, zodat het precies een kwartaal van de programmering zou vullen. De uitvoerend producent was Christopher Parsons en de muziek werd gecomponeerd door Edward Williams. De veelgeprezen Life on Earth is de eerste van Attenborough's 'Life' reeks en werd later opgevolgd door The Living Planet.

He also travels to Papua New Guinea to find some hunter-gatherers who have never before set eyes on white people.
